How to Change the Keyfob Battery for Your Jaguar F Pace (2020 to 2024)

Replacing the battery in your Jaguar F Pace keyfob is a quick and simple task. All you need are a few basic tools and a new battery.

What You Need

• The keyfob

• A flat screwdriver

• A new CR2032 battery (check your owner’s manual to confirm)

Step by Step Guide

1. Remove the emergency key
Slide the metal emergency key out from the keyfob.

2. Open the keyfob
With the emergency key removed, look for the two small gaps along the side of the fob. Insert the flat end of the emergency key into one of the gaps and twist gently to create a small opening.
If it does not open easily, try the second gap rather than forcing it.

3. Use the screwdriver to separate the fob
Once the first gap is open, place the flat screwdriver into the opening and twist gently until the two halves of the keyfob separate. Take your time to avoid damaging the plastic casing.

4. Replace the battery
Lift the old battery out with your fingers or the edge of the screwdriver. Be careful not to touch any internal components.
Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment with the positive side facing up. Press it down gently until it sits firmly in place.

5. Close the keyfob
Align the two halves and press them together until they click. Make sure there are no gaps and the fob is fully sealed.

6. Insert the emergency key
Slide the emergency key back into its slot.
