Jaguar F Pace Keyfob Battery Replacement Guide for Models 2020 to 2024

If your Jaguar F Pace keyfob is no longer unlocking the doors or the range feels weaker than usual, it is likely time to replace the battery. Fortunately, changing the battery is quick, easy, and requires only basic tools.

What You Need

• Your Jaguar keyfob

• A flat screwdriver

• One CR2032 battery

How to Replace the Battery

1. Remove the emergency key
Press the release and slide the emergency key out of the fob.

2. Locate the opening points
With the key removed, look for the two small gaps along the side of the fob. These are designed to help you separate the casing.

3. Create a small opening
Insert the flat end of the emergency key into one of the gaps. Twist gently. If it feels tight, switch to the second gap. Never force it.

4. Open the casing with the screwdriver
Once you have created a little space, insert your flat screwdriver into the opening. Twist carefully to separate the two halves of the fob. The plastic should come apart smoothly.

5. Remove the old battery
Lift the battery out with your fingers or the edge of the screwdriver. Avoid touching the circuit board.

6. Insert the new battery
Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment with the positive side facing up. Press it down gently until it sits securely.

7. Close the keyfob
Align the casing and press the halves together until you hear a click. Check for any gaps around the edges.

8. Return the emergency key
Slide the emergency key back into its slot.

Your Jaguar F-Pace (2020-2024) keyfob should now be working with the new battery. This process is quick and ensures your keyfob is ready for use.
