Our Official Security Reset follows the same steps used by main dealers:

  • Replace the KVM with a brand-new Keyless Vehicle Module
  • Reprogramme your current key as the main key
  • Supply and programme a new spare key as the second key
  • Lock the module to prevent any other keys from being added later

Your vehicle will be securely programmed to accept only two keys, both in your possession, meeting the full dealer criteria.

Security Key Update

Why the Dealer May Refuse the Update

The standard method of adding a key, whether through us or any other specialist, typically involves adding a third key into your vehicle’s existing key system.

While this key will work perfectly to start and secure your vehicle, Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships may still refuse to carry out the security update. That’s because their update procedure requires all programmed keys to be physically present. If any programmed key is missing, the update stops.

As a result, you might arrive with two working keys in your hand while the system shows three programmed keys, and the dealer will turn you away.
